This training is for Unarmed Security Service Providers. The Black Wolf Unarmed Private Security course provides an in-depth curriculum including and exceeding the State of Oregon’s standards.
Students will learn basic Civil and Criminal Law, Basic Communication, Mental Health Communication, De-escalation, Medical and Fire Emergency response, and how to respond appropriately to current crises such as bomb threats, active shooter threats, and natural disaster response.

In this three-day course, you will learn the standard DPSST armed curriculum including relevant laws and considerations related to carrying a firearm and within the role of a security professional. You will learn both concepts and perform practical drills related to drawing from the holster, body mechanics, weapon retention, low light, and room clearing. The course includes 8 hours of live fire training and qualification as well as a written examination at the completion of the course.

During this seminar, we will start with a series of warmups & line drills that showcase movements that will pertain to the lessons for the rest of the day. There will be both standing and groundwork with offensive and defensive techniques focusing on body mechanics and leverage against a larger opponent/attacker. This two hour course is designed for new gun owners to build a foundation of pistol manipulation based on defensive combatives. The student will be taught the four firearm safety rules that are followed by law enforcement and private security, and how they apply to the real world. Students will learn an effective stance, body position, and grip to help control the pistol. Students will work with the gear they choose to bring, whether they wish to work with their everyday concealed pistol or they are developing their skills with a tactical overt belt and bodyarmor.

This course satisfies and exceeds the minimum standards mandated by Oregon law [ORS 166.291] for the permit application process.
The material covered will include: Basic handgun safety, law, ethics, and personal responsibility. This course will also go over home defense planning and other considerations.
Completion of this course does not guarantee a CHL permit. A CHL permit depends on the applicant's participation, successful completion of Oregon’s application process, and passing the background investigations conducted by your county.

MANAGING UNKNOWN CONTACTS & KNIFE CONCEPTS
1 DAY COURSE | 2 DIFFERENT DATES AVAILABLEThis course will be covering two different subject matters. The first half of the day we will be covering Managing Unknown Contacts. Covering why managing space with strangers in your environment is imperative for safety and ambush stats on women. Breaking down the myths in Women’s Self Defense and the need to face your enemy. Understanding the language of violence and how to carry oneself and not look like easy prey. We will be spending our time on the mat in close quarters going over movement concepts and managing space. Alongside that, learning how to clinch, frame, sprawl, head pressure and weight distribution.
The second part of the day we will be covering Knife Concepts. During this time we will go over everyday knife carrying options and drawing under concealment. The importance of grip options and accommodating to your wardrobe choice. Following that we will talk about creating space and the psychology/motion when fending off an attack.
